The Malahat communications department works closely with Malahat Council and the administrative team to ensure that important information is communicated in a timely manner to Malahat members, business partners, government agencies and members of the general public. The communications department works with other Malahat departments following procedures and steps developed for communicating information with stakeholders.

Memos, community notices and invitations to attend events are prepared as needed with newsletter being published and distributed on a quarterly schedule. Information of a timely nature is also published electronically on facebook, while information dealing with fundraising and Malahat employment searches is published on the website.

The communications department welcomes appropriate advertising from its sponsors, donors and business partners, etc. for inclusion in its quarterly newsletter.
