Overview
The Economic Development Department is advancing the strategic and operational development of the Malahat Business Park (MBP), a 44 acre site in Mill Bay, British Columbia. Designed as a versatile industrial hub, the park is being developed in phases to align with expanding infrastructure capacity. This development represents the first market development and the first businesses on Malahat Nation land creating much needed construction and operations jobs for members of the Malahat Nation and others in the region.
Strategic Location. Situated along the Malahat Drive corridor, MBP offers exceptional accessibility and connectivity between the Capital Regional District, Cowichan Valley Regional District, and the broader Vancouver Island region. Its prime location provides outstanding visibility and logistical advantages, making it an attractive destination for industrial, commercial, and distribution focused enterprises seeking a strong foothold in the Island’s growing economy.
Transportation Access. The site is supported by dedicated merge lanes and off ramps, including a northbound exit to Trowsse Road and a southbound exit via Mill Bay Road. These seamless transportation links enable efficient movement of goods, services, and workforce, positioning MBP as a premier choice for businesses ready to capitalize on Vancouver Island’s expanding opportunities.
Current Tenants: Verity Construction, Thales Canada, Ergo Eco Solutions, Malahat Fuels Cardlock, Superior Propane, ReUse People of Canada, O'Callaghan Landscaping, Malahat Nation Major Projects Office.
Malahat Nation is also exploring possible future opportunities in the MBP, including a battery manufacturing facility and mixed-use apartment buildings with ground-floor commercial space.
