Funding Opportunities for Indigenous Children, Youth and Students

The Kw’umut Lelum Foundation is offering several funding opportunities to support education, recreation, sport and cultural participation. Post-secondary students from Halalt, Lyackson, Málexeł, Penelakut, Qualicum, Snaw-naw-as, Snuneymuxw, Stz’uminus and Ts’uubaa-asatx may be eligible for up to $5,250 through the Kw’umut Lelum Indspire Scholarship Award. Applications are due August 1, 2026.Applications for the 2026 Physical Activity Recreation and Culture Grant will be accepted from August 1–31

Malahat Nation has been working with BC Whales and Sea to Shore Systems to install hydrophone systems in Malahat marine territory.
